She gives the reader examples of different market modes. A promise in the book was a future book of all her trades looking over her shoulder but it never came out. Her style of writing is scattered and the book needs to be revised at least three more times. She states she was an English major in college but never finished a degree. She gets off topic allot which makes me wonder what her grades were in college. She also states she is a lawyer in training and this talent comes out by dancing around a full training system for the different market modes.
The book lacks allot of details. Lastly, she seems she is up selling you to a mentor service. Her income streams seem to come from market commentary in the media, mentor service, books, promoting software and working for a FOREX brokerage.
Was this review helpful to you? By HEC on August 22, In general the content is good, it's simple and I as a trader thing her methods or setups are effective because again they are simple and basics KISS but her explanation are not good. Sometimes I thought her explanations were nothing about their related charts or may be it was because I couldn't read the graphs. And the charts are very small, they can't be smaller and harder to read at all.
The prices is too high for the contents and its charts. If you want a brief of this book: There is not Holy Grail, go back to the basics and simple methods that she explained. I think she should make another better version. By JCSunshine on October 16, By fx trader on September 19, If you are new to Forex or wanted to get in now, this book will suit you best.
It gives you the good reviews and reminders of "practices" required to do Forex trading. It's probably true that this is the only book you can find for this purpose for now, as I did some searches and couldn't find the same.
Other Forex books, are really more on history, technicals and academic oriented. I couldn't rate it higher, as probably my expectation was wrong, I was looking for "secrets" or a sound methodology to do Forex trading, this book covers this part base on a methodoloy which I don't find it any "special", the methodology is not easy to use to my standard.
It's quite difficult to catch the points also, as the charts are really too small, and no clear indications of enter and exit decisions. Overall, a good reading and should help. But as always, have the knowledge is one thing, putting them to practice is another. By Parviz on April 14, Who said " you can't teach an old dog a new trick?
Though I have not traded the 24 hours Forex market, I have traded the currency markets as well as the futures, stocks and options. I have been student of all kinds of systems, Fibonacci and Elliot Wave, Gann - have used dozens of indicators, yet I am always looking for something more to learn. I figure that if I can learn just a bit more I may become a better trader. That brings me to Raghee's book. I found that her 34 days EMA wave theory combined with trend lines and Fibonacci retracement values a very useful set of tools in setting goals of 1 what price to enter a trade , 2 where to exit either for a profit or stop loss.
These tools though were always there, but I had not seen them put together as Raghee has, and she teaches in a very understandable way, step by step that makes sense. I am glad to have bought and read the book, more than once, and I have listened to the instructional CD that comes with the book many times. I am looking forward to your next book detailing your real trades in 30 days hoping to learn more. By Peachy Tuliver on May 23, Written so that this beginner can understand.
