Inherently, post memes only on weekends. What is the best trading platform for OSX? I currently use TD Ameritrade ThinkorSwim and it's nice, but eats lot of ram and crashes from time to time. Everything I do, I run from a Windows virtual machine. As of last week, I've been just using a Boot Camp install for performance reasons. I can see why you want to do that, but I'd rather not mess with dual booting or virtualization.
Oh I totally get you. I can use up 16GB in a heartbeat. That's true, I forgot about that. It had some quirks but was overall useable. Use Synergy paid download if you want to easily share a keyboard and mouse. TradingView in the browser for charts. MT4 in parallels for execution. Pray for the day TradingView supports execution. I have used Interactive Brokers because it's Java based but their software is insanely buggy.
I used about a thousand platforms and for Mac Oanda is simply the best out together software other than Think or Swim. TOS is the only software I would consider at this point. MT4 or any other software in a virtual machine is not something I am fond of lol.. Used to run tradestationn on windows in Virtualbox, their stuff is miserable as well.

It's not even close, but I can tell you that twice their software bugs cost me about 2k and 3k the other time. The first time I closed my position and it said it was closed, the whole nine yards but it never actually closed. When their tech support sorted it out I lost 2k and they would not refund me. The second time I was holding a trade that I probably shouldn't have with my finger on the close trade button lol and when 5pm hit and their roll over happened their software refreshed and had NO record of my position.
By the time their tech supported corrected it, the position and inability to close cost me about 3k. I decided then and there that it was better to look for software quality and reputation than price. Also have a live Robinhood account, literally one of the first let in the door. Robinhood is nice to try but in the long run their software is just horrible, but free though lol.
Just make sure you have sufficient RAM. Not sure why the hate on virtualization. MT4 on Win 7 virtual machine works perfect. I use it daily on a iMac and air, sometimes forgetting it's even running. Want to add to the discussion? I wish there were better options. NinjaTrader fits all your platform requirements. I'm looking forward to upgrading to Windows 10 and NinjaTrader v8 next-gen next year. Lastly I have tried some browser based software and they can't compete with oanda or TOS. How do the fees compare?
